Zaza
Zaza Recipe
The 1915 silent film, Zaza, was a romantic drama based on a French play. Zaza, the main character of the story, is a prostitute who becomes a singer/entertainer and the mistress of a married man. The 1915 film is lost, but remakes were done in 1923 and 1939.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 ounce gin
- 1 1/2 ounce Dubonnet
- Orange twist, to garnish
Directions:
- Shake the gin and Dubonnet in a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Strain the contents of the shaker into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with the orange twist, and serve.
