Vodka Tonic Recipe
Tonic water contains quinine, which comes from the bark of the South American tree, the Cinchona. Quinine has been used to treat malaria since, at lease, the 1600s.
- 2 ounces vodka
- 5 ounces tonic water
- 3 lime wedges
- In an ice-filled highball or Collins glass, squeeze the first lime over the glass and drop it in.
- Add the vodka and tonic water to combine.
- Squeeze the second lime wedge over the drink and drop it in.
- Garnish with the third lime wedge, and serve.
