Midnight Cowboy
In the 1920’s, the term “cowboy” began to have a negative connotation. This was a byproduct of the behavior of some cowboys in the boomtowns of the American West. Most cowboys were single, young men, who received their wages in lump sums and spent time in areas populated with drinking and gambling establishments.
Ingredients:
2 ounces bourbon
2 ounces dark rum
1 ounce heavy cream
Directions:
- Shake the bourbon, dark rum and heavy cream in a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Strain the contents of the shaker into a chilled cocktail glass, and serve.
