Jack-in-the-Box
Jack-in-the-Box Recipe
One theory of the origin of the jack-in-the-box is traced to Sir John Schorne, who was a member of the clergy and lived in the 14th century. He was reportedly a very holy man and people of the time believed he had cast the devil into a boot. In many works of art, he can be seen holding a boot with
the image of the devil in it.
