Cuban Sidecar Recipe
Carlos Manuel de Céspedes del Castillo was a prominent Cuban attorney and plantation owner. In 1868, he freed his slaves and made the declaration of Cuban independence from Spain, thus beginning the Ten Years’ War.
Ingredients:
- 1 ounce light rum
- 1 ounce Cointreau
- 1 ounce lime juice
- Lime spiral, to garnish
Directions:
- Shake the light rum, Cointreau and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Strain the contents of the shaker into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with the lime spiral, and serve.
