Cuban Peach

Peaches are generally separated into two categories, Freestone and Clingstone. Freestone peaches are those which the fruit is easily removed from the pit, preferable for eating fresh. Clingstone peaches are those which the fruit its not easily separated from the pit, often pitted and canned by machine.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 ounces light rum
  • 1 1/2 ounces peach schnapps
  • 1/2 ounce lime juice
  • Dash simple syrup
  • Lemon wheel, to garnish
  • Mint sprig, to garnish

Directions:

  1. Shake the light rum, peach schnapps, lime juice and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Strain the contents of the shaker into an ice-filled old-fashioned glass.
  3. Garnish with lemon wheel and mint sprig, and serve.
