Panama Red
Van Halen’s song “Panama” peaked at #13 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 1984. In 1989, U.S. forces used the song at very high volume outside the Apostolic Nunciature of the Holy See in order to coax then-Panamanian dictator, Manuel Noriega, to exit and surrender.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 ounces gold tequila
- 3/4 ounce triple sec
- 2 dashes sweet & sour mix
- 2 dashes grenadine
Directions:
- Shake the gold tequila, triple sec, sweet & sour mix and grenadine in a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Strain the contents of the shaker into a chilled cocktail glass, and serve.
