Mumbo Jumbo

Mumbo Jumbo Recipe

“Jumbo” is a commonly used term in Western Pennsylvania to describe Bologna sausage, or as it is sometimes referred, “baloney”.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 ounces dark rum
  • 1/2 ounce Applejack
  • 1/2 ounce lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon superfine sugar
  • Dash ground cinnamon
  • Dash ground nutmeg
  • Lemon spiral, to garnish

Directions:

  1. Shake the dark rum, Applejack, lemon juice, superfine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Strain the contents of the shaker into an ice-filled old-fashioned glass.
  3. Garnish with the lemon spiral, and serve.
