Hot Buttered Rum

India is the world’s largest producer of butter. In 2015, India produced over 5 million tons of butter, while the United States was second, with 830,000 tons.

Ingredients:

  • 1 slice unsalted butter
  • 5 ounces hot water
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon light brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 ounces dark rum

Directions:

  1. Combine the unsalted butter, 2 ounces hot water, granulated sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Add the remaining hot water and dark rum.
  3. Stir to combine, and serve.
