Blood and Sand Recipe
Approximately 425,000 were killed, missing or wounded in the Battle of Normandy, which began with Allied forces invading the Nazi-occupied beaches of Normandy, France. The invasion included 5,000 ships and 156,000 troops. It was the largest amphibious operation in recorded history.
- 3/4 ounce Scotch
- 3/4 ounce cherry liqueur
- 3/4 ounce sweet vermouth
- 3/4 ounce orange juice
- Orange spiral, to garnish
- Shake the Scotch, cherry liqueur, sweet vermouth and orange juice in a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Strain the contents of the shaker into a cocktail glass.
- Garnish with the orange peel spiral, and serve.
