Aviator Fuel Recipe
In the hit 1986 film, Top Gun, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell defies orders from
his superiors and assists his wingman “Cougar” back to the aircraft carrier, USS Enterprise, after contact with foreign MiG-28s (fictional aircraft). Maverick and Cougar, both flying F-14A Tomcats, were critically low on fuel.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces vodka
- 2 ounces lemonade
- 2 ounces lemon-lime soda
- Lemon wedge, to garnish
Directions:
- Combine the vodka, lemonade and lemon-lime soda in an ice-filled highball or Collins glass.
- Garnish with the lemon wedge, and serve.
